An Infernally Good Day Out – Diableries, Stereoscopic Adventures in Hell

Queen guitarist Brian May has teamed up again with long-time collaborator Denis Pellerin and American researcher Paula Fleming to publish the complete collection of Victorian ‘Diableries’ stereo photo cards. There is a free public viewing and movie in Soho on Monday, October 28th.

A Diablerie is a unique stereo card with demonic scenes of the underworld, designed for stereoscopic viewers in Paris in the mid 19^th century. They were first sold to the public in England and France around 1853, becoming hugely popular throughout the mid to late 1850s.
